I Just Want To Get Skinny

How to get brain of a slim one

“I just want to get skinny!” Bob Harper, a fitness trainer from the reality show The Biggest Loser, hears all the time. According to Bob, his experiences have taught him that an unhealthy diet can’t be exercised away. "It is all about your diet," Harper says. But a modern diet, high in fructose and prepared foods, causes the brain to become resistant to the weight controlling hormone leptin—making losing inches close to impossible.

BRAIN OF A SLIM ONE IS RICH IN LEPTIN

The brain of a skinny one is different—it is rich in leptin, the weight loss hormone discovered some 20 years ago. However, until recently, weight loss with leptin required daily injections—and most uses have been supervised in clinical trials. Leptin signals the brain when the body has had enough to eat. People overeat when their brain is not able to perceive that. The way to overcome resistance, or sometimes a deficiency in leptin, is to supply the hormone from outside sources, doctors say.

LEPTIN SUPPRESSES BIOCHEMICAL REACTIONS IN FAT CELLS

When researchers injected laboratory mice with leptin, previously obese ones became as thin as rodent track stars. “It’s true that the animal isn’t eating as much when it is given leptin,” says Dr Ki-Han Kim of Purdue University. “But that doesn’t mean that the brain is initiating this. Whenever we eat, we alter the hormonal status of the body. The body has to tell its various parts to do something with this food that has been ingested. When leptin inhibits fat synthesis, it causes the hormonal system to send a message to the brain saying that the body is satiated.”

ENDS DIETING TORTURE

Dieting is a harsh, life-long reality most of humans face with metabolism slowing down with age and diseases. Lack of satiation feeling and cravings can make one’s life torturous or turn into an unattractive or even monstrous body holder. Leptin makes life-long dieting, i.e. keeping weight stable, not only possible, but enjoyable, by eliminating cravings and supplying a body with satiation.

METABOLIZES FAT FOR ENERGY

The Journal of the American Medical Association has reported on the leptin-weight loss connection. In a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study, weight loss “increased with increasing doses of leptin among all subjects.” At highest dose, more than 95% of the subjects’ weight loss was from fat. No adverse effects were observed on major organ systems.

BURNS FAT ON CELLULAR LEVEL

“So leptin’s interaction in the brain isn’t the whole story. Leptin also appears to act via pathways that are independent of the brain… it works by inhibiting the synthesis of fat in fat cells and increasing the burning of fat in muscle cells. It works at an enzymatic, cellular level.”

LeptiTrim6 INCREASES LEPTIN IN BRAIN

LeptiTrim6, containing leptin from colostrum, allows instantly increased levels of the hormone; lose weight, increase metabolism and turn dieting from torturous to enjoyable.

One of nature’s richest sources of leptin is colostrum, note researchers from the University of Milan reporting in Hormone and Metabolic Research. They studied leptin content in bovine colostrum and concluded: “Leptin is present in large quantities in colostrum…” Colostrum also contains Insulinlike Growth Factor-1, which is required to metabolize fat for energy, thus supporting the effect of leptin’s impact on caloric control.
